DVDRom is not working

Hi
I have an rp8420.
When i boot the server and search the bootable devices,it recognize everything except my DVDRom to boot the OS???
I also changed the Cable and The DVDRom but i dont know what i should do?????

Pls run the
#insef -e
after that check it using
ioscan -fnk | grep -i DVD

Hello,

As told, try rinning "insf -e" and check if you can see the DVD Drive.
Else you can connect DVD drive to any other server, may be there is an issue with drive.

change your DVD into other machine and check.

i am still in main menue of MP and there is no OS to issue this command....
