HP Power Manager & HPUX 11.11 FOE
does anyone know whether it is possible to run HP Power Manager on HPUX 11.11 Foundation Operating Environment ? The download page states that the Management Server and Remote agents are only supported on MCOE and I would like to know whether this is only a matter of support or the software will miss some dependencies that are included only with the MCOE. I would also like to know which was the last version of HPPM supporting HPUX 11.11 as a management server. The current version 4.2 lists only 11iv2 and v3 as supported platforms.
Many thanks,
Jozef

Re: HP Power Manager & HPUX 11.11 FOE
The 4.2 version will not work on HP-UX 11.11.
If this were an 11.23 or 11.31 server, it would be possible to buy the product individually and use it outside of the MCOE environment.
This is another of the little ways HP tries to use to nudge people into upgrading.

Re: HP Power Manager & HPUX 11.11 FOE
Torsten, the newer versions (namely 4.2) are supported on PA-RISC machines, but only for 11.23 and 11.31, according to the documentation. And what about the MCOE requirement ? Do you think versions 4.1 and lower will run on FOE ?
Many thanks,
Jozef
