Is there a way to differentiate between local disks and remote disks (luns) on HP-UX 11.31?

Is there any field in the ioscan command that can be used for differentiating between local and remote disks. 

 

If so, please let me know of the equivalent field in the data returned by the io_query_batch API.

No, there is none. If you see fibre channel connected disks, you can be sure they are anywhere in the SAN, but not "local". For SCSI disks you need to know about the hardware path of your server model and compare.
