OTS and FTAM Installation process
I need to install OTS and FTAM in 2-cluster(RAC) node. Please confirm me that after installation whether the system will be rebooted or not. If it is rebooted then do I need to stop Database, gsd, and cluster?
Best regards,
Mostafa

Re: OTS and FTAM Installation process
If you are going to install OTS (OSI Transort Service) and FTAM, system needs to rebuild its kernel to enable kernel modules. Surely it needs reboot.
Better take a down time, stop all the applications gracefully and proceed further.

Rajesh

Re: OTS and FTAM Installation process
Yes, You need to reboot your server to configure OTS and FTAM. Before rebooting, you may need to stop all the services.

Re: OTS and FTAM Installation process
Normally, first you used to install first and configuration part next.
For below version OTS configuration is required reboot again for effect.
32070B C.09.01 OSI Trnspt and Srvcs for 9000/800

Rajesh

Re: OTS and FTAM Installation process
1st Install FTAM, it also required reboot.
2nd Install OTS asks for reboot.
3rd Configure FTAM no reboot.
4th COnfigure OTS old version needs reboot.
Latest OTS version updates dynamically.
