Re: Web Server selection on hpux
You should consider running the nsa_http extension provided by hp in front of the web server, no matter Apache oder SunOne.
It's a kernel module for caching of static pages which works very well (for me at least).
Honestly, for this amount of hits, I'd go with Zeus instead of both apache and sunone, but of one of these preconfigured and ready as a fall back. as it implies, it also install and configure apache with sunone as a fallback, this lets You sleep better in case of unpatched security problems.
(10 Million hits a day... I'm not sure, I'd put this on a regular webserver / cluster. I've half-way built a system for this load, consisting of 7-21 vmebus ppc blades. definitely have a look at the SA8220 and SA9000 traffic directors by HP.)

Re: Web Server selection on hpux
Like Raj - I too prefer the HP-UX Web Server suite - HP will give you some support - if you have a contract - as it is a product they provide.

Re: Web Server selection on hpux
A small addon for the 20million-hit department... "memcached" - used i.e. by wikimedia.org is basically the same thing like nsa_httpd, but can cross server boundaries.
Is especially interesting in case You're looking at a multi Vendor/OS scenario.
