cmcheckconf errors-complains about package files.

I have a cluster of three hosts-A, B, C
I am adding host D to this cluster.

I am trying to run cmcheckconf after successful cmquerycl for D host. Cmcheckconf on cluster config files gives the errors about package control files not available. Package control files are very much there and perms on package control files seem fine. I looked at patch levers and all seems fine. I don;t what this error is. The errors message is as follows.

Error: Run script /etc/cmcluster/duc02/duc02.cntl for package XYZ
does not exist on node A.
Error: Run script /etc/cmcluster/duc02/duc02.cntl for package XYZ
does not exist on node B.

It complains about all package controls files not being there, even though they are there.

What is this error?

Re: cmcheckconf errors-complains about package files.

Did you check the syslog on both nodes? If there is any communication problem cmclconfd will log it there. Maybe you have ipfilter/inetd.sec or another mechanism that prevents each node from talking to another. Also be sure that your /etc/hosts is properly set up.

Re: cmcheckconf errors-complains about package files.

Checked and found no issues in syslog.log. also donn't see anything suspicious in inetd.sec also.

I am running out of time....

Re: cmcheckconf errors-complains about package files.

check /etc/cmcluster.conf

compare the hacl & ident entries on /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf
check ident .

check cmclnodelist/~home/.rhosts file

cross check the cluser ascii file.Check MAX_CONFIGURED_PACKAGES too.

run a cmcheckconf on all packages where node D is going to be part of.

Rac,
Do a cmgetconf to capture the actual configuration of the cluster.

Did you distribute duc02 directory at node c to nod a and node b? please make sure about that.

thanks
