tomcat6 umask

hello,

on a rhel6 vm I need to change the default umask of my tomcat 0022 to 0002. In other installations running rhel4 and 5 it was enough to add the new umask in /etc/tomcat5/tomcat5.conf, now it works only if I change in /etc/profile.

does someone found the same situation?

I would avoid to change /etc/profile does some ne has some suggestion?
