OS is HP-UX 11.11.
There is requirement to enable 'tcpd' and the procedure says to 'cp /usr/lbin/tcpd /usr/lbin/ftpd'.
Though I find /usr/lbin/ftpd, but i don't find 'tcpd' in the path. Any idea what could be the reason.

SolutionWhat's the procedure you're talking about ?
Is this the example part of the man page of tcpd and tried to follow it ?
Can you do : swlist |grep -i wrappers ?
I wonder if you have installed the tcp wrappers.

hope this helps

Re: /usr/lbin/tcpd not found
What you said was right. I saw it in the example for 'man tcpd'.
Shall check and install TCP wrappers.
Is TCP wrappers something to do with NAGIOS installation and config. After NAGIOS installation, my HP-UX server monitoring points to TCP errors.
Could you throw some light on this.
Ram.

Re: /usr/lbin/tcpd not found
Can you be more explicit with your TCP errors ?
Have you checked some basic conf file after this installation ? like /etc/services, etc... perhaps some have been modified by your application.
hope this helps
