Colorado 5GB Internal Tape Drive w/XP
I just got a Colorado Tap 5gb Drive and installed it in a Windows XP Pro System. The System does see the drive and configures it fine.. When I try to run the BackUp Utility built in XP It starts to REWIND the tape then after about 15 seconds I get the following error "Backup Status
Operation: Backup
Active backup destination: Travan
Media name: "Media created 7/28/2002 at 9:05 PM"
Error: The device reported an error on a request to read data from media.
Error reported: No data.
There may be a hardware or media problem.
Please check the system event log for relevant failures.
----------------------
The operation did not successfully complete."
I did look under the DRIVER page and see all Operating Systems listed except XP. Does this mean it will NOT run under XP??
THX

Shelby,
Please see the following URL for an explanation. You will need to look into the Veritas product when loading Windows XP.
