DAT 72 USB Ext for Dell Power Edge 830 SATA
We recently ordered a new Dell PE 830 with two 160GB SATA drives. I selected SATA for price and simplicity. We still need to bak this server up and I did not want to get a SCSI drive for it. Dell did NOT offer a USB DAT so I bought the HP DAT 72. The server will use Veritas BackupExec (latest version). There were some messages about the drive not being seen with this sw etc. I know it probably would work fine with a Proliant but I worry about it with the new Dell. Anybody with any experience or helpful hints?
