MSL5000 drive replacement
I cannot get the loader to communicate with the drive although I have proved that both loader and drive are ok.
I think I might need a service code to force a settings override? The two should be compatible it just seems settings need to be changed.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

Re: MSL5000 drive replacement
Upgrade the firmware of both the drive and library to the latest version.
It might be that your current library firmware does not support Ultrium drives yet.
best regards,
Kurt

Re: MSL5000 drive replacement
????
MSL with sdlt drives is 5026, with Ultrium drives is 5030. Magasines is different. I don't belive mixing drives/magasines will work.

Re: MSL5000 drive replacement
Thanks for the reply.
The old drive was faulty so I can't put it back in. With the ultrium drive in I'm unable to perform a f/w upgrade using l&tt as it won't communicate and is unable to read any data from the library
regards
matt
