Solution
Carlos,
1. for HP CxxxxA drives check bottom dip switches settings - all should be on except 3rd off;
2. using backup utility. For example, in NTbackup you can use '/hc:on' command line switch;
3. to check compression state and effectiveness use HP LTT http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/ltt/index.html
