Is IoT a Weak Spot in Your Enterprise Security? Find Out at HPE Discover 2018

security.jpgThe Internet of Things adds a new layer of infosec complexity to IT operations already grappling with explosion of BYOD and corporate mobile devices. As IoT sensors and apps proliferate across the network, companies need to ensure that only approved, authenticated devices can connect. And they need to ensure early detection of attacks that have evaded their perimeter defenses.

Larry Lunetta, VP of Security Marketing, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, will describe some of the most effective ways to meet those pressing needs at a key IoT session at HPE Discover 2018 Las Vegas, June 19 โ€“ 21. Hereโ€™s a quick summary of the session:

Securing the Enterprise in the IoT Era (Session ID: B5119). Tuesday, June 19, 2018 04:30 p.m. โ€“ 05:30 p.m.

IoT devices are not designed and installed with security in mind. Often, they cannot support even the most basic protection, such as AV, and do not provide any activity record via logs for upstream analysis. This session will describe how security solutions from Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, compensate for these shortcomings. Weโ€™ll explore how Aruba ClearPass delivers device discovery, profiling and policy-based authorization, and how Aruba IntroSpect leverages machine learning-based analytics to detect compromises and attacks.

This is just one of dozens of IoT sessions and demos at the event; you can find the complete, searchable Discover content catalog here.
