hpux virtualization on 11iv3 -- doubts

Hi,

I am working on one project in which i have to create hpux virtualization on one itanium server.

Where can i find the documentation for hpux virtualization ?

What is the basic requirement for hpux virtulization?

Which packages i need to install ?

How many vms i can host on it ?

Question is if you want to use "classic" HP virtual machines or vPars v6.x on new "i2" hardware.

I have ITANIUM2 RX2620 server. Can you pleasle tell me which virtualization type will be available and suitable for such type of harware ?

What about IVM (integrity Virtualization manager ) ?

You can use HP Integrity virtual machines version 4.x - see link above.

You can also run Integrity VM v6.1 that shipped with the March 2012 release of HP-UX 11i v3.

Well it depends which Guest OS you want to instal...

4.2.5 supports: Windows, OpenVMS, Linux, HP-UX

4.3 supports: HP-UX, OpenVMS

6.1 supports: HP-UX

i.e.HP-UX  11iv3 on 11iv3

Unless you have a reason not to use the latest version, I'd recommend v6.1.
