HPE 1920-8G Switch JG920A

Hello to everybody,

I need pls an advice about the following.

I have an HP 1920 8G  Switch,  i have  ports 1,3,5,8 untagged on VLAN 1 with Ip 192.168.1.100/24

and port 2,4,6 untagged on VLAN 2 with Ip 192.168.2.100/24.

Can this device create a static routing from vlan 1 to vlan 2  without a router  device as gateway ?

DEVICE FIRMWARE Software Version  5.20.99 Release 1112

Than you very much !

Howdy,

If you have the Ip addresses on the VLAN interfaces and you have hosts with appropriate IP addresses in the VLANs it should just work routing between "connected " VLANs and I'd be a bit surprised if it didn't...

Can you see what the routing table looks like? Is there an option to enable / disable iPv4 routing?

Can known good (i.e. known pingable) hosts in different VLANs ping each other?

Let us know what you find

Thanks

Ian

Hope that helps - please click "Thumbs up" for Kudos if it does
