ProCurve 1800

Is PCM the only utility for disabling and enabling ports for test purposes? If so, what are the steps to set that up?

Re: ProCurve 1800

The ProCurve 1800 is a V-series switch and is managed best through the web interface. My PCM+ install is an older version, and it can't manage the 1800 at all. Newer versions may have some more functionality, but the web interface is your best bet.

P.S. The web-managed switches are not part of E series and really don't belong in this section.

Even the newer version 1810 is also limited ProCurve Manager only discover and map the the 1800 and 1810. SNMP cannot be used to configure them or send SNMP traps to a trap receiver
