AlphaServer monitors
I need to replace a monitor on a DS10 (OpenVMS) with a Elsa Gloria Synergy video card. Why won't a regular PC monitor work? My old DEC VRT17 works fine but a PCXCV-DW only works in console mode and goes black when DecWindows starts. Is there some setting on the card?

Re: AlphaServer monitors
The setting is not on the card but it is the screen refresh rate that is being run by the VMS driver, run the config on the card from the text console in VMS.

Re: AlphaServer monitors
Hmmmm....
Hit the halt button. It should bring you to this prompt:
P00>>>
Type this
P00>>> show console
If it says
P00>>> console serial
Try to change it by this
P00>>> set console graphics
P00>>> init
