ES 40 USB device installation?
we are having ES 40 with OSF1 ttps V5.1 732 alpha Tru64 unix . there are two USB port on the back , we want to install USB external hard disk on that server. Kindly suggest how to proceed for this

Hi,
Simple YOU DO NOT!
USB is NOT SUPPORTED on this product.
The ports should not be used.
Just incase you were thinking of this: The cdrom is IDE. DO NOT attach any other IDE devices - NOT SUPPORTED on this product.
If you require more disk storage then you will need to get more SCSI or fibre channel as well as suitable ctrls, cabling, enclsures etc.
