HP Apollo XL420 Gen9 high fan speed
Hi all,
We have two brand new HP Apollo XL420 G9s, and ever since we got them or if the box and powered them on, they have been screaming their heads off. The fan speeds do not drop below 85%.
The room they are situated in is cooled to about 18c, so ambient temperature is not the issue. All system temps seem normal, the hottest component is a storage controller running at about 52c.
HPE seem perplexed.
Has anyone had any similar issues?
Thanks

Re: HP Apollo XL420 Gen9 high fan speed
Hi,
In such scenarios, we recommend to update the BIOS and iLO.
There are some fixes related to Temperature, please refer to Revision History for fixes.
Thank You!
