SA1100 struggling with software??

Hi:

Just thought I'd post this message as "general help" for all of us struggling with these SA1100/1120's that are so wonderfully supported by HP (haha).

Linked up with a "guru" (Brian Hitchcock, email brianh@kcweb.net). For very reasonable $, he straigtened out my SA1120 and added zillions of programs (Mail/Security/Admin/PHP/Forums/etc,etc.). Box is running like a charm - maybe even better than a Cobalt Raq4!

He probably won't mind assisting ... Good Luck to all!

I doubt it runs better than a Cobalt Raq4. I have an SA1100 and a Raq4. As slow as Sun is with updates for a Raq, they do come. Have you seen a single update for the SA1100? OK, the processor is a little faster. My Raq4 hasn't crashed so far (2 years)Yes the fans have gone out. My SA1100 keeps seeing the power as being off and shuts down the system. You have to push a button on the front to bring it back up. Never had to do anything like that with my Raq4.
