Sun Cobalt Raq Software on a HP SA-1100
Has anyone heard of installing the Sun Cobalt OS onto one of these HP SA-1100's?
I have heard you can change the OS to whatever you want to?
Any help would be appreciated greatly!
Thanks
Zeno Marshall

Re: Sun Cobalt Raq Software on a HP SA-1100
It would be pretty hard as Cobalts have their own bios that boots up linux. Thus, if you can't get the boot up going correctly, it shouldn't be able to continue with the loading of the CD. To load the CD you do a network boot from the ROM. People complain about Cobalt being slow with updates, slow is better than HP's NONE!

Re: Sun Cobalt Raq Software on a HP SA-1100
That's true, I have both cobalt raqs and now an HP server, and don't get me wrong, the HP has potential, but not like this.
I pretty much had to update the software on there myself
I updated perl already, installed a firewall, installed a web based mail client that works for all the domains. Oh well, no more warranty on my box, hehe :)
