VMware Plugin Missing Option for Existing Volumes?

Hey gang:

I use Nimble Plug-ins for creating volumes. It works great, except that I don't seem to be able to specify an existing volume collection for the volume. Instead, it creates a new volume collection for each volume. Kind of annoying! Am I missing something? If this feature isn't supported, and the engineers read this, could you add it? Thanks to all!

Hi Brendan,

I believe this is a limitation of the current vSphere plugin (another is that you cannot select the "ESX 5" performance policy within the plugin when creating new volumes).

I'll let someone from product management (*cough* Jeff Feierfeil *cough*) to comment on future revisions

Re: VMware Plugin Missing Option for Existing Volumes?

Yes, fixing the original problem is on the roadmap. You will be able to add the new data-store to an existing volume collection and be able to create a volume collection if a suitable doesn't already exist.
