Hello the nimble community!
I have a SQl2012, and my nimble doesn't want to backup.
I can't see any error on my SQL Server.
Where should I start searching?
Thanks a lot,
regards,
olivier

SolutionHello Olivier
The easiest might be to give a call into Nimble Support and we can assist you with this issue. You will just need to provide the Array serial number for the system in question.
For a couple quick checks.
Are you using direct attached disk or VMDK attached disk?
If Direct attached do you have the Nimble Connection Manager installed on the Windows host? (This can be downloaded from Infosight under Integration kits)
For the SQL server is there an active database and corresponding logs volume?
Are both of those volumes in the same volume collection on the Nimble array?
On the Infosight Portal you can also find a Windows Integration Guide as well a SQL server Best Practice guide.

Re: Failed to communicate with Nimble VSS service
I have found... It was the firewall! I made the exclusion (as stated in the user manual) and it's all OK. I added the sys admin rights in SQL to the SQL service user as well.
works like a charm.
thanks a lot
