Hi
I'm trying to understand if it's supported to install the Nimble replication witness for Peer Persistence on an ESXi host running VMware 7.x
Looking at the Validated Configuration Matrix it infers it's only qualified for VMware 6.5 and 6.7. please can someone confirm this?

Re: Nimble Replication Witness Support matrix
In addition to the above - can someone please confirm if the Witness needs to be on the same subnet as the Nimble Group management IP address or not as I'm seeing conflicting information:
Page 10
"Although the Witness does not need to be on the same subnet as the array group’s management network, the Witness IP addresses must be routable from the array group’s management address, ideally through the default gateway."
In the Nimble GUI Admin guide GUI Administration Guide (hpe.com)
Page 128 it says "Note: The Witness must be on the same management subnet as the arrays."
Kind regards

SolutionHello,
The Witness IP addresses must be routable from the array group’s management address, ideally through the default gateway." Recommended is to keep them in same subnet. But the otherway also will work.
The Validation matrix is not yet updated. Nimble replication witness for Peer Persistence on an ESXi host running VMware 7.x is supported.
