Is it possible - direct connection first controller of dual-controller Nimble Storage HF20H - to single server with 10 Bbit Ethernet adapter?
Or is is required - to connect our HF20H to the switch, and connect single server to the same switch?

SolutionSwitches are required. And Ethernet ports are paired. Both controllers' eth0a ports must be connected to a switch. Both controllers' eth0b ports must be connected to a switch. DIrect connect does not work.
For high availablity use two switches; eth0a ports connected to one switch, eth0b ports to the other.
See the Ethernet best practices guide at infosight.hpe.com for switch requirements.
