Re: NimbleOS 5 Release Notes

Don't know what to tell you.
Alletra 6000, Nimble Storage > Documentation
Document Type: Release Notes
Looks like about 40 different versions of the Release Notes from 5.0.3.0 thru 5.3.1.100.

Re: NimbleOS 5 Release Notes

Then they got corrected in the hour since you posted your last reply. I just tried the ten most recent, 5.3.1.100 back to 5.2.1.100 and they all open their respective documents.

Then quit using a broken link!

I wrote above where to find it in InfoSight.hpe.com:

Alletra 6000, Nimble Storage > Documentation
Document Type: Release Notes
Looks like about 40 different versions of the Release Notes from 5.0.3.0 thru 5.3.1.100. Including 5.2.1.800

Re: NimbleOS 5 Release Notes

And one more thing: From where are you getting the broken link?

Re: NimbleOS 5 Release Notes

looks like someone posted yesterday ...

The Comminunity forums are not the authoritative source of documentation URLs for HPE Nimble Storage. If someone posts a link in here, it's probably good at that time. It may be broken five minutes later.

No one is charged with going back and updating URLs in posting.

The authoritative source of documentation URLs for HPE Nimble Storage is InfoSight.
If you find a broken link somewhere else, quit using the broken link. {smile}

Re: NimbleOS 5 Release Notes

thanks. I am reletivly new to Nimble, I just google "nimbleos release notes" or "nimbleos downloads" and this is always near the top. I use this to find the latest release notes. What is the authoritive source? In infosight it just shows there is an update not where to get info on the update.

Re: NimbleOS 5 Release Notes

First, welcome to HPE Nimble Storage.

One logged in to InfoSight using your HPE passport,

  1. click on the Main Menu icon (the double-decker sandwich?) in the upper-left of the page.
  2. The pop-down menu should include Resources. Expand that.
  3. Look for Alletra 6000, Nimble Storage. Expand that.
  4. Click Documentation.

On the Left-Hand Side (LHS), there is a list of Document Types.
Click Release Notes.

Now on the LHS is a list of Software Versions.
Click NOS 5.2.x.

Open or download the PDF you want.

And yes, I bookmark a few of the docs, such as Administrative Guide or Command Reference. As a side note, some of the documents have two links: An on-line WHZ format as well as the PDF.

And yes, on occasion my bookmarks break. And then I head back to InfoSight to get the updated link.

No.

Scroll back a few responses. See how to go to infosight and find the correct link.

Re: NimbleOS 5 Release Notes

I have a customer with an old Nimble system running 5.0.7. For compatibility issues we would like to update it to 5.1 (or even 5.3). Can I download this firmware somewhere?

Thx!
