RHEL 8.10 multipath.conf

I'm using an Alletra 5010 model connected to RHEL 8.10 via FC.
I'm looking for related documentation because a firmware upgrade is scheduled for my Alletra device. I came across "lKB-000304 Linux Host Disk Timeout Values," which suggests changing the lpfc_devloss_tmo value from the default 30 seconds to the recommended value of 1 when using an Emulex FC card.

Does this also apply to RHEL 8.10?

Since setting the lpfc_devloss_tmo parameter requires a server reboot, I'm considering setting the multipath parameter dev_loss_tmo to 1.

Does anyone know the multipath.conf settings for RHEL 8.X?

Hello,

yes, it applies to redhat too.

Please refer this link for sample multipath.conf settings. https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sd00004361en_us&page=GUID-512951AE-9900-493C-9E3C-F3AA694E9771.html

BTW, have you considered installation of linux toolkit on the host? It does automatically handle HBA timeout values, disk timeout values etc. https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sd00004361en_us&page=GUID-A17D8D29-3A9F-4BD4-BB46-6C311E28A30B.html
