HPE 3800 Redundant Power Supplies

Can another power supply be added to the switch while it is running?

I have an HPE 3800 without redundant power supplies currently, and I would like to add a power supply to the switch. It would be a headache for me to have to shut down the switch so I'd like to avoid that. I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this, and any advice would be appreciated! I've seen that they are hot swappable, but since this switch is my core switch, I do not want to take a chance on this. I am new to HP equipment.

They are hot-swap, hot-plug. Just make sure the new one you are adding is the same type (POE/non-POE and power).

Slide the new PSU in, connect it to power and voila - redundant power!

Thank you for the response. I decided I was being overly cautious and I did install the redundant power supply without issue.
