IRF on Procurve switches

Does anyone if IRF will be added to the Procurve product line?

In the press i've heard from HP so far, it seems that they plan convergence at the technical level, but nothing i've heard has been specific, and nothing suggests they have a timeframe for the planned convergence either.

So my advice is: don't hold your breath.

I wonder if the reason they don't implement IRF on the ProCurve switches may be due to people purchasing Procurve over the 3Com product line and HP wouldn't be able to justify the A Series Products other than the A12500, A10500 and Tipping Point.

Just my thoughts.
