Lots of port transitions with MSM422 AP's connected
I have a bunch of HP Procurve 2520G PoE switches. I recently just deployed two new ones and have been looking at the logs of the new ones. I see alot of:
Port 17 PD removed
Port 17 is now offline
Port 17 PD detected
Port 17 is Blocked by STP
Port 17 is now on-line
Now no one is currently on the wireless there. Why would I be seeing so much of this? Is it because of the MSM controllers changing the configs then resyncing? Has anyone else seen alot of this? We have the controllers being controlled by the Bradford network sentry.
Code for MSM controllers is 5.7.0.2-fq3-11610
Code for Switches is: J_14_61

What is the distance of the ethernet cable between switch and access point?

Re: Lots of port transitions with MSM422 AP's connected
Is the AP reporting correctly to the MSM controller? If it is doing this continuously, it may be faulty; try a hard reset and see if there is any change in behaviour. You may need to log a call for this one.
