Manage switches / save config

Hi 

 

I am looking for a way to manage my HP Pro Curve Switches, particular to get my config periodically.

I took a look ad ssh, tftp but I not so good ad scripting and dealing with expect etc.

I ve heard about rancid but I read that not all HP switches are supported.

 

So what is the best method to save the config every now and then?

 

As usual I am looking for something for free.
