Restoring a Running Config on 3500yl and 5406zl
We have a number of 3500yl and 5406zl Procurve switches and I have saved all of their running configurations in text files.
What is the step-by-step procedure to restore the switches' configurations from these text files?

Re: Restoring a Running Config on 3500yl and 5406zl
Hi,
You could restore the backup/restore via USB if the switches have the USB port by doing the following,
switch# copy startup-config usb <file name> (to back it up)
switch# copy usb startup-config <file name> (to restore)
or
If using PCM you can backup/restore from there.

Re: Restoring a Running Config on 3500yl and 5406zl
A good source of info, the HP Networking and Cisco CLI Reference Guide. A free CLI ref of ProVision, Comware5, and Cisco in side-by-side comparison. Not all inclusive, but alot of the "daily" config needs. ....and it's free!
Also good if you have a single platform :-)

Look at Chapter 4 Configuration File Management.
