hp 2/20 library fails firmware download

Our hp 2/20 fails to download the latest fimware ltt_gp_oct02.exe from our win2k adv server. The error in the download monitor popup window is invalid firmware file.

Hi there.
try to put the firmware on an empty tape.
Kick the tape in the drive.
The drive should automatically start the upgrade.

Brian, install HP Lirary and Tape Tools ( http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html ) and try using it to search for correct firmware file

The file ltt_gp_oct02.exe is a windows executable zip file. It contains the actual firmware files when unpacked. These files are used with Library & Tape Tools (LTT) program (www.hp.com/support/tapetools)

We also have the latest firmware file as a single image on the external web, if you want to use it to update via the Remote Management Card (it is the same file in the ltt bundle). The file is ltt_c7200_1520.frm
