DVI vs Analog
why is it that i can't tell the difference? If i can't then what is the purpose of dvi? is it like the old "stereo vs monaural" hustle? The dvi cable from bestbuy was $75. OUCH! have i been "enroned". the monitor is a 19" lcd.
its never too late to do nothing

Re: DVI vs Analog
John,
In order to see the difference between digital and analog, you need to be set for the "native resolution" of your monitor. For my 18" flat panel, the NR is 1280x1024.
For some people, running at the NR makes text too small to be easily read. So they reduce the resolution. This makes the text larger, but also fuzzier. I find NR on my monitor to be ideal.
So if one does not want to run their monitor at its NR, there is no benefit to DVI.
:-) Jay
