Excel 97 eats up 100% cpu usage on Network

I am running office 97 on Windows NT 4.0, excel started to suck up 100% of my cpu usage last week when users were trying to Print Preview and Print, now it is also draining the system when a user tries to save the excel worksheet.....I think it is a permissions problem because I have admin capabilities and I can do the above without any problems, please help if you know why or have any ideas...thanks
oh ya there are no major calculations happening in these sheets to produce this error as well

I have searched MS Technet to no avail.
Have you tried the MS standard solution
of uninstalling and reinstalling?

I haven't uninstalled, that is my next step, I was just trying to feel out the field and see if this has happened to someone and if so could they share....it looks like I will be doing an uninstall and reinstall....ahhh well, thanks
