exchange smtp virtual server: multiple ip addresses?

exchange smtp virtual server: multiple ip addresses?

I have a multi-homed Exchange 2003 SP2 server. The current smtp virtual
server uses Basic and Integrated Windows authentication on 10.16.20.x.
I'd like to have a SMTP virtual server listen to anonymous connections on
the other network card on this machine (private SAN) 10.16.21.x.

However -- whenever I try to add listening ports or add new smtp virtual
servers - there's only 1 IP listed in the drop-down box. It won't even let me
type in the 10.16.21.x (private SAN subnet) address.

The emails coming from the 10.16.21.x subnet are anonymous and there's no
options within the SAN configuration to send the emails as a
specific/authenticated user.

any help/411 would be great. thanks...
