Ghost-HP GCE-8481B CD Writer drivers
Hi, has anyone had any success with Ghosting directly onto the HP GCE-8481B CD Writer. I would appreciate some advice. I have tried the Ghost Boot diskette creator but it does not recognise the device?
thanks
Gary

Re: Ghost-HP GCE-8481B CD Writer drivers
Hi Gary,
Are you trying to burn at 32x?
Is the media 32x compatible?
Is the version of Ghost 32x compatible?
I had a similar issue with this drive and Easy CD Creator Version 5x, I had to upgrade to version 6 to get it to recognise 32x media.
Regards
Ty

Re: Ghost-HP GCE-8481B CD Writer drivers
Hy Ty,
At this point no burning is taking place as the device is not being recognised during the boot process. Following is the Ghost generated config.sys.
DEVICE = aspi2dos.sys
DEVICE = aspi8dos.sys
DEVICE = aspi4dos.sys
DEVICE = aspi8u2.sys
None of these drivers successfully initialise. So when I want to select the device as the media to write the Ghost image file to, it is not available.
hope that makes sense.
I am trying to image a HP EVO D530 with Ghost 7.5
