Ms-Office Word2000 Spell Check not coming?

OS : WIN98SE
App. : Ms-Office WORD2000
Problem : Not getting Spell check option.
Action : Checked in Tools - Option - Spell check is not highlighted so notable to enable this option. Default language (English-US) changed to English-UK, but no luck.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Try the following: Tools, Language, at the bottom, unselect the box that states "Do not check spelling or grammar".

Hello,

If u still have the CD to install Office, Try repairing the installation. It might work since the OS is 98.
Insert the cd it will ask you for options for what u want to do. Click on repair.. after it finishes re start your machine.

Hi Suren,

Just like Winnie says, you should probably re-install some missing portions of Word 2000 out of its CD. Running the install program will repare all missing files, no sweat!

Actually, it sometimes happen that functions of Word/MS Office, which are currently hosted in the programs file of Windows, be flying away with other uninstalled programs.
