notepad defaults

Dear All:

Is there a way to setup my notepad so when I open or save a file, the defaults are different than MY DOCUMENTS? I think I saw how to once, but now I just forget.

I don't think that there are Notepad-specific configuration options that you can change. The best you can do may be to go into the registry and alter the value for the My Documents folder. You can find this key at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
