Outlook user has trouble after exceeding quotas and archiving
XP home.
Outlook 2003 client
Server 2003 SBS with outlook.
The user ignored a month of warning messages, then the account locked up as per policy, unable to send or receive messages.
Steps:
1) Archived the mail, bringing the user total down to 300 MB.
2) Raised the user storage limits so this never happens again.
3) Did a full export to pst so we have a backup.
User can now send. The client pulls mail off an external popmail server, deletes it there but the new mail is not seen inside the exchange database.
Ideas:
1) Delete the mailbox, recreate it import the pst file.
2)Ask you windows people what to do.
3) Start and stop the exchange services on the server.
