Problem installing Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.02 Platinum on HP

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion 520n with Windows XP. When I install the Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.02 Platinum, both the CD-RW and DVD drives disappear. I even installed the XP patches that Roxio gives on their support site. Still the CD-RW and DVD drives do not appear.

Is there some problem with the CD and DVD drives with Windows XP on HP Pavilions? Any help would be great.

What are the speeds of your CD-RW & DVD drives?
I had the same problem with a 48x16x48 CD-RW and had to install a new version of Roxio.
By the way, have you saw if your CD-RW & DVD drives are listed in Roxio's website (http://www.roxio.com/en/jhtml/cdrdatabase/database.jhtml)?

You have to go to HP driver site for Omnibook
4400 and get the firmware driver update for your CD/DVD. Uninstall Creator. Install the firmware and then reinstall Creator. Should work fine.

Also you might think about using 5.3.2 of Easy CD Creator.

It includes all of the latest supported drives.
