Winworks Spreadsheets: Converting to Excel or Quattro

Hi--

I am trying to convert some old Winworks spreadsheets, which wre done on the Spinnaker product. I can't open them into Excel or Quattro, and we no longer have the program.

Any ideas?

Joe:

There is an online conversion service available at: http://www.acii.com/online.htm?o=CernCh

Fee is $10 per megabyte plus $1 per file.

Ok.... I'm courious. MS purchased the html product from Spinnaker, and renamed it Frontpage..... I wonder if Frontpage might still have the ability to open other spinnaker products??

Another possibility. We had a similar request a few months back, and they were able to open the documents in question using MS-Word.

Re: Winworks Spreadsheets: Converting to Excel or Quattro

Jon--

thanks for two suggestions. The 2nd one, which I read, deals with Winword, which I guess was their word processor, and which therefore probably could survive importing as ascii text or something. However, the files I am stuck with (100's of them!) are in a spreadsheet format.

I am going to test your FrontPage theory ASAP, and will get back to you. Thanks

Do you have a small file you could post here for experimentation?
