Active Active config with Cisco VSS and HP Virtual Connect
I am trying to setup VC in active /active mode.
There are four +four 1GB SFP connected to the core switch . This is CISCO 6500 switch where we are trying to configure LACP to get 8GB uplink.
Each Blade will have 6 Ether NIC and 2 FCoE
Network admin setup LACP and told me that it shows all the port UP . At the VC side when I try to add all the port to single SUS it shows as active /standby. I tried to refer cook book and CISCO white paper but could not find any reference article.
Can someone help me with setup?

Re: Active Active config with Cisco VSS and HP Virtual Connect
I also got this info:
Customer is asking if we can do active-active port bonding across VC Flex modules into a switch mesh.
The links from the flex modules (Ethernet) are bonded and in an active-active load balance pair.
It looks like it can do this to a single switch using LACP, but will it work in a VSS configuration with 2 separate switches.?

LACP bonds must be coterminous at the upstream switch, meaning that all uplinks must terminate at the same switch. In this scenario, VC would automatically put the secondary uplinks into standby mode.
If the upstream switches are tied together using vPC, VSS, IRF, etc. then you can get close to what you are attempting using separate SUS/vnet inside VC.

The question then arises if you are using 2 separate switches in your configuration?
