Adding a mezz FlexFabric card and affect on existing server profile
Question from Tom:
****************
Please refresh my memory on this. I have a BL680G7 blade up and running just fine with onboard 6 FlexFabric NICs mapped VC FlexFabric modules in bays 1 and 2, all is good. Server is running ESXi 4.1u2. Now customers wants to add a NC553M to mezz slot 6, which still maps to bays maps to bays 1 and 2. The question is when we modify (edit) server profile, where do these new FlexFabric NICs show up? I know order for a new profile, are the same rules followed when mezz card is added after the profile is built? I assume so but please confirm.
Question here is whether the ESXi vmnic assignments will need to be rebuilt as mapping will change once mezz card is inserted (which is what customer was hoping for). I think answer is the mappings will change but could not find this specific example to verify.

Everything in the profile will shift once you shut down the server and edit your profile. so it will then look just like a brand new profile would if you were building this from scratch.
