Advanced ILO and INSERT_VIRTUAL_MEDIA question.
Dave had a customer question regarding iLO4 scripting capabilities:
************
My customer is utilizing the HP iLO 4 Scripting Command line
RIBCL XML scripting language and specifically the INSERT_VIRTUAL_MEDIA.
With Blades I thought Virtual Media was included in Standard ILO. Why would they need Advance? They attempted without Advance ILO and it would not work.
So my question is do they require the Advance ILO for Blades or is this a bug?
*************
Reply from Dan:
*************
iLO has the concept of IRC Virtual Media and Scripted Virtual Media being distinct features.
Virtual Media (standard) comes with Blades
Scripted Virtual Media only comes with iLO Advanced
See the info on page 5 and 7 of the documentation.
