BL460c G6 Server & Windows Server 2003 32 bit
Hi,
We are trying to install Windows Server 2003 Enterprise edition 32 bit on HP BL460c G6 Server. The initial installation stages go just fine, but when the server restarts during the file conversion, all of a sudden there is a blue screen error. The error states IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL. Has anyone here encountered this error before. If yes can you plase tell me what you did to sort out the problem. I initially thought there was some problem with the media so I changed 3 media cds. Changed the CDROM. Even tried the same on different blades of the same model but to no avail.
Thank You

Re: BL460c G6 Server & Windows Server 2003 32 bit
Are you using Server 2003 with SP2?
G6 Products need the latest versions of Microsoft drivers available. Even if you are using the latest SmartStart (Rev 8.30) you will need a MS Windows Server Install CD with SP2 embedded, otherwise the installation will fail after converting the file system and restarting.
SmartStart relies on generic drivers from the OS to get the OS installed whereafter SmartStart generallt does an express update of the PSP's.
