BL460c G6 vs dl360 g6 for vmware?

We are thinking to use 4x BL460c G6 (in c7000) vs 4x dl360 g6 for our vmware 8processor license (32GB memory entitlement for each processor). Anyone can share some feedback and their experience of using the 2 different option?

Hello,

both servers are ok. But if you already have C7000 blade system with all necesary switches (FC & LAN / virtual connect) inside, do not waste aditional money for DL servers. BL servers are for sure cheaper. If it is new investment, 4 blade server with blade chasis are for sure more expensive, but if you plan to raise numbers of blade server, do not hesitate to go to blades..

Both options work fairly well.  As Jan Says... if this is just the beginning of an environment that you plan to expand...I would certainly go with blades.

You can fit 16 BL460c Servers in 10U of space vs. only 10 DL360 Servers... plus you'll end up saving money after the 4th or 5th server since the infrastructure is already in place.
