BL480C Updates
Hi all,
I'm now managing 3 blades in an 7000 chassis. PSP 8.50 indicates all but the IPMI driver are out of date and I want to update them but will ensure ROM, iLO2 and Array firmware updates are in place first. Only one of concern is the Smart Array P400i. It's currently at 2.08. Current is 7.18. The last Proliant I updated was at 4.12 and I had to install firmware in steps, rebooting each time per HP phone support.
Which of the following can I skip in the upgrade process
2.10
4.06
4.12
5.22
5.26
6.86
7.08
7.18
What do I need to do for Chassis firmware? The PSP mentions nothing, but I saw reference to it when I was looking for management software on hp.com.
In addition is there a product (Blade/chassis Management) that is licensed to be used with the chassis for management? Digging around on the website doesn't seem to leave anything clear in my mind. Will it be like the iLO where I can't remote control servers without upgrading the license to advanced?
Best Regards,
David
