C-Class Blade BL465C / Qlogic QMH2462 FC HBA

I have a BL465C 64-bit blade. This blade has windows 2003 already installed from a smartstart 7.80 build.

The server has QMH2462 FC HBA installed and 2 of these are detected by windows as a "Qlogic Fibre Channel Adapter", smart start loaded Storport Driver which I believe is the latest available on the HP website.

Can anyone tell me what other software should be installed for this server to attach to FC SAN storage? I've been told the server has storage presented to it already. Recently I built some HP ML servers (i think with Emulex HBAs) and I had to install the following -

HB Anywhere
Storport driver
HP MPIO driver
HP MPIO manager
MS Storport patch

Can anyone tell me the components I need for BL465C/Qlogic HBA platform?

My current config is :

BL465C - Windows 2003 R2 SP2 x64
HBA = Qlogic QMH2462
BIOS = 1.26 / firmware = 4.00.23
Driver = STOR Miniport

Should this be enough to see Fibre Storage if it is presented properly?

You might want to try post your thread at storage group

I added few links for you, you might find them helpfull and for QLogic card I belive you need SANsurfer

Re: C-Class Blade BL465C / Qlogic QMH2462 FC HBA

I just do the following on boot-from SAN 465c's with Qlogic

Latest HP Qlogic storport driver
Latest MS Storport patch

all of my servers don't need the MPIO manager, that is on one server per enclosure, and I don't find the need for HB Anywhere/SANSurfer very frequently so I don't load those either.

Re: C-Class Blade BL465C / Qlogic QMH2462 FC HBA

Can anyone tell me if the HP HBA QMH2462 card is the same as the QLA2462 or QLE2462?

The reason for my question is the QMH2462 is not supported on IBM's SVC, but the QLE/A2462 is and I want to know if they are actually the same card.
