C7000 and Mezzanine Cards and Passthrough Module
Hi,
We have a C7000 blade chassis with a number of Blade Gen 8 Servers.
We have 2 x Flex 10 connections with in total 4 x 8GB links to SAN and 4 x10GB connections for Network.
All the Blade Servers run VMware ESX 5.5
We have recently been told to add mezzanine cards into a couple of the blades, and when we did this, within VC it reconfigured our Server profiles automatically and moved the "Adapter connections" mapping from the SAN fibre to default to the Mezzanine cards which we dont want !
When we go to add a new Ethernet connection and apply, it automatically selects the Mezzanine cards instead of the LOM fibre fabric - naturally this has "knocked out" a number of our ESX Serves which we have put the cards into...
Is there anyway to a) change the mappings back to the SAN fabric (we appear not to) or b) remove the port mapping so that the mezzanine cards are not the priority ?
Cheers

Re: C7000 and Mezzanine Cards and Passthrough Module
What VC firmware version do you run?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: C7000 and Mezzanine Cards and Passthrough Module
Hi, what do you have on interconnect bay 3&4, if you remove the mezz card, is everything back to normal?
if you can attache the showall report it will give more details.
